Bookfest Friday

Strengths Finder 2.0 provides an eye-opening look at what it really means to live up to your full potential. Rath’s belief is this: “You cannot be anything you want to be, but you can be more of who you already are.” I LOVE that. Isn't that good?

The Gallup organization combined efforts with the author, Tom Rath, (along with a team of scientists) and came up with the newest version of what they call the “Strengths Finder test" which was created to help people maximize their potential instead of focusing on and trying to improve their weaknesses—which we as a culture, have a tendency to focus on. (Especially in education. We try to improve on our weakest areas instead of our strengths. Why do we do that???)

Their point: Why waste a majority of our time trying to develop the parts of us that will never shine as brightly as our strengths? It can end up meaning we aren’t offering to others all that we have to give.

This book is a quick and easy read, but the purchase of the book also allows for your online access to the Strengths Finder Assessment, so you can discover your greatest strengths and talents.

Insightful, eye-opening, and, if you’re the 66% of the world who do not feel like their strengths are being utilized, then, even life changing. Get it, read it, take the assessment, and discover your greatest strengths!
